About
Biography
I started creating art at an early age, with pencil drawings and sketches in the mountains of Western North Carolina. My path eventually took me to Appalachian State University where I studied advertising and graphic design. After graduation, I moved to Lake Tahoe in California where I cooked, skied and enjoyed my youth. Time to grow up, I started pursuing a career in design in Reno. Fast-forward to the present, I'm currently living in Bend, Oregon, spending my creative dollars as an Art Director by day, and woodcrafter in the evening in my garage shop.
Process
I love learning new techniques and pushing the boundaries of my tools and experience. Sharp wit and chisels help me craft furniture and bring life back into dead trees. I love repurposing old wood and a few of my pieces are crafted from oak beams that my great grandfather used to build a timber frame barn over 100 years ago.
