End Grain Tumbling Block Board
A fun but challenging pattern, this took many hours and many set-ups to get right.
Cutting board
Running down the middle of this colorful piece is juniper wood harvested from my own back yard.

The Bar is Open
This is the completed bar area. A fun project that took months to complete, I got to use a raw beam from the stock of barnwood Dad sent me to make the hanging light. An old dead juniper in the back yard lended me a limb to make the frame and dartboard scoreboard. Belly up it's almost 5!
House rules: Sip of moonshine if you hit the wall with a dart.
Live Edge Bar Top
I got the bar from a buddy redoing his house, but the laminate tops didn't suit me, and I'd just stumbled across some crazy cheap live edge maple. Some cracks needed reinforcement so bowties were made.

Whiskey Barrel Bar Stools
Bought locally at 10 Barrel, it aged beer, and before that, bourbon in Kentucky. This project was all about working as I went, as these slats curve in every dimension. But man, the smell of whiskey when the wood was cut amazed me.

Whiskey Barrel Table
I made the most of this barrel, I particularly like the way the cross pieces half lap.

Leftover from my cutting board project, I was able to turn scrab into coasters, set of 4 with holder.

Keeping the tumbling block thing going, this time with plywood.

Kids Desk
Mitered corners and hand cut dovetailed drawers made this a challenge, but the modern finished product sure makes at home learning a bit easier to take.
Hard Rock Maple, Sapele, Mahogany
Coffee Scoop and Measuring Cup
The wood for these two scoops came from a barn my great grandfather built in the mountains of Haywood County, NC over 100 years ago.
Reclaimed Oak
Knife Block
When I first started woodworking, a friend and mentor gave me some redwood siding, which I've been using for various projects since. This mitered box is reinforced with splines and filled with bamboo skewers to hold the knives.

Salt Box
I had these highly figured live edges left over from my bar project, wanted to get out of my comfort zone and create something weird. So I did. An it holds salt for margaritas.
